Select Captain is the alter-ego for singer, songwriter and guitarist Kristian Gaarskjær. With a fondness for the 50’s beat-poets and the American songwriting tradition, The Captain takes the listener on a road-trip through a catchy, yet fragile musical universe, with an emphasis on melody and songwriting in a soundscape of acoustic instruments and ambient reverbs.
Over the last three years Select Captain has toured relentlessly, had plenty of singles on national Danish radio and released an EP and two albums where the latest ‘Strings & Feathers’ was released in October 2016.
Live, Select Captain consists of Kristian Gaarskjær, Søren Vestergaard, Johannes Gissel, Kasper Olsen & Jonas Wegner.
